K. Soumya Kumar is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian based in Australia with a rich background in nutrition that spans continents. She began her journey in India, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition in 2017, and then pursued a Master in Dietetics degree in Australia in 2019. This global perspective on nutrition has allowed her to understand the importance of personalised dietary practices, particularly for women.


Pursuing excellence, she became a Certified IBS Trained Dietitian, focusing on helping women navigate complex digestive issues. Her commitment to women's health extends to her time at Duke University, where she obtained a Product Management Certification to enhance further her ability to provide innovative and evidence-based nutrition solutions.


Soumya’s work is rooted in a belief that every woman deserves to take control of her health journey. She emphasises that nutrition is not a one-size-fits-all solution but rather a personal and empowering process. Her experiences and interactions with women at various life stages have fueled her desire to write Nourishing Her, profoundly impacting women’s health.
